Scorpions stings plane passenger: arachnid attacks woman on Alaska Airlines flight at LAX
  • 9 years ago
An unidentified woman was stung by a scorpion aboard an Alaska Airlines flight from LA to Portland, Oregon Saturday night, according to a report by the Daily Mail.

Airline officials are apparently unsure how the scorpion snuck aboard the aircraft, which originated in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Just as the plane was getting ready to take off, the arachnid made its way onto the shoulder of a male passenger who (carelessly) flicked it off, sending it flying in the direction of the woman.

The eight-legged creature next stung the woman, leaving its needle lodged in her hand.

The plane was forced to return to its gate and the unidentified passenger, who reportedly took the bite like a champ, was checked by medics.

Flight attendants successfully managed to kill the scorpion and the flight took off only an hour behind schedule.
