NYPD officer Brian Moore was shot and critically injured while trying to stop a suspect on Saturday night.

He and his partner were both sitting in an unmarked patrol car in Queens Village when they saw a man pass while adjusting his waistband.

Officer Moore and his partner ordered the man to stop and be searched. But instead he drew his gun and fired at least 2 times into their unmarked cruiser.

The shooter fled, and Brian Moore suffered a gunshot to the head. He's in critical condition. Police swarmed the area and, 90 minutes later, arrested Demetrius Blackwell for shooting officer Moore.
