Laura Weintraub found out the hard way how public servants are held to a higher standard.
Her YouTube video series "Cup Holder Commentary" gives her a good soapbox to stand on while sharing her opinions and venting on certain issues. But her latest diatribe, where she complained about cyclists, got her in trouble.
At one point in the clip, she sarcastically asks her husband how much money he'd accept to mow down the bike in front of their car. The whole spiel ends with a picture of the horrific 2008 bike crash in Mexico along with the words "like you've never thought about it."
The video didn't sit too well with the Santa Paula Police Department, where Weintraub volunteered as a reserve police officer. The department has placed her on administrative leave.
