Sex attack: Drunk nurse escapes rape after being picked up by strangers

A nurse narrowly escaped being raped by three strangers after she got completely wasted and passed out in a karaoke lounge.
Xiao Xiang (小湘) was singing and drinking with coworkers at a chain karaoke parlor in Banqiao, Taipei last Sunday night. After the party, the 25-year-old blacked out at the lobby. While waiting for her friends to take her home, an unconscious Xiao Xiang was carried by three men, two surnamed Li and another Huang to a hotel next door.
Xiao Xiang eventually woke up in the elevator to the hotel room. After struggling for a while, she managed to escape but left her bag behind.
Police later caught the suspects with the help of a surveillance video, and later found Xiao Xiang's bag in their house during investigation. The trio claimed that they took Xiao Xiang to the hotel not for sexual assault, but to help her and let her rest as she was unconscious. However, police didn't believe their claims and charged them with theft and coercion.
