Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Vapor Trail for the SEGA Genesis developed and published by Data East. The year is 1999. A group of terrorists known as DAGGER has taken over the city of New York, and since it’s a video game, it’s up to you to stop them. Vapor Trail is a vertical shoot ‘em up similar to many vertical shoot ‘em ups, but despite its done-to-death design, it’s also a good vertical shoot ‘em up. You choose from three different jet fighters—slow, medium and fast—and blast everything that moves. The game also features numerous power-ups that change your weapon, so grab the one that suits you best. You can also “do a barrel roll” from time to time for momentary invincibility once it’s fully charged. Vapor Trail features single-player and local multiplayer play on the SEGA Genesis.
