Side Pocket video review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow video review of Side Pocket for the SEGA Genesis developed and published by Data East.
Though it was originally released to arcades, Side Pocket eventually made its way to several retro platforms. Although it looks like the usual pool game at first glance, there’s more to it than meets the eye. There are also sexy pixelated women with nineties haircuts, which is awesome. The game features a unique set of power-ups and special objectives, like bonus points for getting balls in certain pockets. These additions give the game a bit of an arcade feel that would’ve made it fit in nicely its original home—the soda-stained carpets of old-school arcades. Ah, those were the days! Side Pocket features single-player and local multiplayer on the SEGA Genesis.
