Classic Game Room reviews PAC-LAND for Nintendo Famicom from 1985 by Namco! This interesting sequel to Pac-Man is a platform rather than a traditional Pac Man style maze game. Pac-Man runs right and left while avoiding bad guys, collecting fruits and power pellets and racing through colorful levels like Sonic the Hedgehog. Pac-Land features some bizarre platformer controls like tapping the left and right buttons to run while pushing up (or any direction) on the D-Pad to jump. Fans of old school, 2D platformers like Super Mario Bros. might enjoy Pac-Land's interesting mashup of gameplay. Pac-Man fans may just end up confused.
