VW Polo vs Citroen Saxo VTS Comparison (1997)

Ginny Buckley reviews two 1997 model hot-hatches - the Volkswagen Polo and the Citroen Saxo VTS, comparing their performance and handling, as well as taking a look at their unique features. The Polo has a 1.4L 16 valve engine which produces 100bhp, giving it a top speed of 117mph and a 0-60 score of a not so impressive 10.5 seconds. The Citroen Saxo VTS, however, comes with a slightly more powerful 1.6L engine also with 16 valves, and produces more power of 120bhp, which gives it a top speed of 125mph and a 0-60 score of a more impressive 7.2 seconds.
