31 US troops, mostly Navy SEALs, killed in Afghanistan

A US helicopter crashed in Wardak province of eastern Afghanistan killing 31 US Special Forces and seven Afghan soldiers. It was returning from an operation against the Taliban in which eight insurgents are believed to be killed. Taliban has claimed that they have shot the helicopter down.
