Swatilekha Sengupta, Veteran Actor Dies At 71; Ramayan Actor Chandrashekhar Dies At 98

Renowned Bengali theatre and film personality Swatilekha Sengupta died on June 16 at the age of 71. She was suffering from kidney ailment. Swatilekha Sengupta was admitted to a hospital for the last 21 days. Her condition further deteriorated and she breathed her last on June 16 afternoon, according to The Times Of India. Veteran actor Chandrashekhar, best known for featuring in films like Cha Cha Cha, and Surang & playing the role of Arya Sumant on the popular TV serial Ramayan, died on June 16. He passed away due to age related ailments. The 98-year-old actor died around 7 am at his residence here, his son and producer Ashok Shekhar told PTI.
