Resistance to Follow the Horrific Trail of SOCOM Confrontation? Hopefully Sony Learned! - Nick's Gaming View Episode #50

Hello everyone and welcome back for another episode of Nick’s Gaming View where I cover the latest gaming news and events throughout the industry. This week was definitely a slow one due to the ongoing gaming convention in downtown Seattle, PAX Prime and while I was unable to attend the event, I dived and searched for the most interesting and eye-grabbing topics within the gaming industry this week.

I start it all off by discussing the incredible Xbox 360 bundle Microsoft has prepared for gamers that live in Canada. In preparation for the upcoming holiday season and to further compete against Sony’s PlayStation 3 which recently received a $50 price cut; Microsoft is letting it be known that they are determined to rein success in 2011.

Sony also has an exciting new venture that it is about to take place just next month as the announcement that shook the world at Sony’s E3 2010 Press Conference is about to finally unravel. The Steam integration that Gabe Newell promised us with Portal 2 is set to offer the complete experience beginning next month with the release of the upcoming Portal 2 DLC. I discuss Gabe’s statements and provide my opinion on the matter.

What really caught my eye however was a recent statement released by Marcus Smith, Creative Director at Insomniac Games. With Resistance 3 just around the corner, September 6th to be exact, discussions in regards to a possible Resistance 4 were raised and Mr. Smith had something very interesting to say in regards to the matter. You do not want to miss it so be sure to hit play and enjoy the show. This is Nick’s Gaming View!
