CES 2012 Interview: PlayStation Vita Prepared for Mobile Gaming Domination

With the launch of PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe just a month away, Sony is hard at work preparing for what’s in store for the successor to the PlayStation Portable (PSP). Ever since the device was announced roughly a year ago, codenamed NGP, gamers around the globe have been eagerly waiting to get their hands on the device and experience next-generation handheld gaming for the first time.

Having the opportunity to experience the Vita at E3 2011, I was blown away by titles such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss and WipEout 2048, but having the opportunity to experience it again at CES earlier this month was breathtaking. Just when I thought what I was playing at E3 was the final build of Uncharted: Golden Abyss, I was blown away once again by the advancements made between E3 and CES.

After having some time to play with the Vita and experience titles such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Resistance: Burning Skies, and Escape Plan, I had the opportunity to speak with Crystal MacKenzie, Associate Brand Manager for PlayStation on what the Vita will be offering come launch and throughout the enduring life cycle of PlayStation’s latest hardware. Check out the interview and feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts.
