Classic Game Room presents a CGR Packaging Review of Kaitei Daisensou for Sega Saturn. This Japanese SHMUP style shooting game can be described as Metal Slug Underwater. Developed by Irem (R-Type), many of the people involved actually went on to make Metal Slug so the game is rich with entertaining, chunky visuals that enhance its cool 2D shooter style. Sadly it suffers from horrible Sega Saturn slowdown which cripples gameplay. The packaging is very well designed with a full color manual and bright cover design.
