Classic Game Room - POLE POSITION for Atari 2600 review
  • 12 years ago
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of POLE POSITION for the Atari 2600 video game console. Pole Position is one of the original race car simulators, where you drive an F1 style formula 1 car around championship tracks like Fuji. Your F-1 racer is fast, stylish and explodes very easily. Perhaps it is a Ferrari or Bentley... or maybe not. This old school arcade classic retro video game is tons of fun to play today. Should you sell off Forza 2 or Gran Turismo 5 and buy Pole Position? Well, you could buy about 400 copies of this game for the cost of a new Xbox 360 game. You could have Pole Position cartridges stacked all over your house and built into pole position cartridge tables and stuff. A 1980's driving game for the Atari 2600, Pole Position was a pretty hot game when it came out. How does it compare to the new racing simulators today like Forza 2 and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue for the PS3? Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes.
