This is the fifth Monster World game, though even it would refuse to tell you so, and it revisits the basic mechanics of Wonder Boy in Monster Land, but with all the grindy arcade bits taken out for you. How convenient! Sporting an overhauled inventory and magic system, bigger bosses, cuter sprites, and the occasional ocarina lesson, Wonder Boy in Monster World shows us just how much more interesting stuff you can pack into 8 more bits.
