Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of TrackMania: Build to Race from Firebrand Games, Nadeo and City Interactive for the Nintendo Wii. TrackMania: Build to Race marks TrackMania's first lap on a home console, bringing the series' customization-heavy focus exclusively to the Nintendo Wii. At its core, Build to Race is a simple racing game based on short courses with insane designs. The objective is to finish the course as quickly as possible, emphasis on quickly. The tracks are very short, because TrackMania is kind of like the WarioWare of racing games, in a sense. The gameplay is fast and frantic, and it's over before you know what hit you.
