Street Fighter Alpha review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Street Fighter Alpha for Playstation 1. While everyone was looking forward to Street Fighter 3, we were given Street Fighter Alpha instead. And while it was initially a disappointment because of the lack of the "3", after playing it, it was easy to see it was the proper evolution of the series. The biggest change is to the special meter, which now has multiple levels. The game is definitely the evolution of the Street Fighter series, making additions that would become staples of the series.
