LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete review Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete for Sony Playstation. Think about your favorite story, be it in a book or movie. Think mostly about why you like that story. Is it the characters? Is it the setting? Is it the overall plot? Movies and books get this right, and sometimes interactive mediums do it better, but all too do they get it wrong. Cliches are abound in the world of video games, especially RPGs. With every other game trying to be the next Final Fantasy, it's a hard business to get into. In the early 90s, the Sega CD had 2 fantastic games that took storytelling in a game to a new height, and in the late 90's and early 2000's, they were remade on the Sony Playstation. LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete tells the tale of young Alex, a young boy seeking to become the world's greatest hero, a Dragon Master. His quest starts with helping his friend in a get rich quick scheme and to stopping a misguided hero hellbent on becoming a god in a godless world. There's love and heartbreak, betrayal and friendship, and even zany funny characters. It's the game that will keep you glued to the TV for hours. With an innovative battle system and amazing localization, LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete is a fantastic game on the Sony Playstation, and was recently re-made for the PSP under the moniker Silver Star Harmony. CGR's Jonathan owns that, and every other English release of this fantastic RPG. This video review features video gameplay footage of LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete on the Sony Playstation, and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Jonathan.
