Forced Organ Harvesting in China

Most of us are familiar with organ donation - it's when a person voluntarily gives up an organ for use in transplant procedures. But in China, forced organ extraction has become a cause for grave concern for the international medical community, particular after allegations that the Chinese government is systematically killing prisoners of conscience specifically to take their organs.

A new book on forced organ harvesting in China has recently be published, and in this China Focus we speak to one of the contributors to the book, and to the spokesman for Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting about what's behind this illegal practice, and what can be done to stop it from happening.
