Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance for Playstation 2. Mortal Kombat had fallen on some hard times and needed to get back to its roots.. Deadly Alliance took some big chances, killing off fan favorite characters and introducing a whole new fighting system. The risk paid off and made for a great fighter and a great re-introduction of the series. Things like Konquest mode and the Krypt would become series mainstays and usher in a whole new generation of combatants.
