Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Grand Theft Auto V, a title millions of gamers are ecstatic to get their hands on, has officially been dated by the team behind the release, Rockstar Games. Expected to launch worldwide during the spring of 2013, Grand Theft Auto V does miss the 2012 year that many gamers had hoped for, but let’s be honest here, this late in the year, who truly believed it would make its way into the upcoming holiday season? While gamers have roughly six months to wait, Rockstar did confirm that Grand Theft Auto V will be taking place in present-day southern California in the sprawling city of Los Santos and beyond. From the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean, Grand Theft Auto V promises to be the largest and most thriving Grand Theft Auto to date, pleasing the massive audience it has built over the years. Eager to pre-order your copy? Beginning November 5th, gamers will have the ability to run to their local retailer and pre-order their very own copy ensuring possession of the highly anticipated release day one.

Moving along to a franchise of comparable achievement, Call of Duty, the voice actor behind Captain Price, Bill Murray, recently confirmed the development of Modern Warfare 4 by stating “Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games.” While Call of Duty fans are sure to be excited about the recent confirmation, who’s honestly surprised?

Wrapping up today’s episode of Nick’s Gaming View, Deep Silver’s successor to the popular 2011 release, Dead Island, has officially been dated. Titled Dead Island: Riptide, Deep Silver has confirmed that gamers can expect to pick up the sequel on April 23rd of 2013 in North America and worldwide April 26th. For those who pre-order the release, an exclusive pack of weapon mods will be offered and those who purchase the Special Retailers Edition will receive an alternative character skin along with the pack of weapon mods. Details on which retail chains will receive the Special Retailers Edition remains unknown, but Deep Silver has stated they will have more information soon.
