Grand Theft Auto V’s massive scale to accommodate flying, confirmed development of the next Mass Effect, and Tomb Raider’s collector’s edition announced for North America, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. With Rockstar Games dropping the jaws of millions of gamers with their announced scale of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, the development studio behind the franchise has once again spiked excitement by stating “We wanted to make a big place, as much as anything, to allow you to fly.” With rumors circulating around the idea of piloting helicopters and jets, these rumors just may be confirmed thanks to Dan Houser, the co-founder of Rockstar Games and co-writer of Grand Theft Auto V. If you weren’t excited for Grand Theft Auto V up to this point, you may want to reevaluate your sanity, but this news should certainly be your ticket onto the hype train.

In other great news, Bioware has confirmed the ongoing development of the next Mass Effect game driven by the team in Montreal. Confirming its collaboration with the Edmonton studio, Casey Hudson will remain as the Executive Producer with a Project Director based in Montreal under him. Details remain limited up to this point on the ongoing development of the next Mass Effect, but Bioware has confirmed that their Frostbite Engine, the same engine behind Battlefield 3 and the upcoming Dragon Age III, will be powering the upcoming release, but details on whether or not it will release this console generation remains quiet.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, Square Enix has announced the Collector’s Edition of the upcoming action-packed adventure, Tomb Raider exclusively for North America. Priced at $99.99, those who purchase the Collector’s Edition can expect to receive an 8-inch Lara Croft Figurine, double-sided island map and poster, lithographic print, three iron-on badges based on the game’s experience icons, Tomb Raider’s original soundtrack, and the weapons pack containing a variety of weapons to help Lara survive against the island’s enemies. Solid package for hardcore fans of the franchise, so be sure to go pre-order your copy if its of interest to you.
