Myanmar's military has been using jets to attack rebel fighters in northern Kachin state, which borders China.

The conflict between rebels and the government centers around the Kachin fighters refusal to stop blocking military supply routes moving through their area.

While the government says it is open to dialog with the group, one of the most powerful minorities in country --- they've been locked in battle since 2010.

Fighters accused the government of using chemical weapons against them last month and say recent air strikes have killed three civilians including a 15-year-old boy earlier in the week.
