Crimson Shroud review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Crimson Shroud (developed and published by Level-5) for Nintendo 3DS. Before there were random number generators in video games, RPG enthusiasts had their own way of generating random numbers: DICE. Yasumi Matsuno's stylish retro throwback Crimson Shroud hearkens back to this era, when your meticulously-painted miniatures squared of against the DM's, in a polyhedral fracas of epic-tier proportions. It's short, it's sweet, it's mechanically sound... but the animation's a bit stiff. (Yes, I went there.)
