Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for Playstation 3 developed by Platinum Games and published by Konami. Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance takes the Metal Gear franchise away from its stealth roots and into the action genre. The player takes control of Raiden, but Raiden is much different from the last time he was the main character in Metal Gear Solid 2. He is now a cyborg ninja capable of dealing out some major damage. He is able to cut practically everything in the game and uses his abilities to fight for his own personal mission. The action is fast and quick and requires skill to master as the enemies are just as fast as Raiden. Raiden can also be upgraded to deal more damage and acquire more health. There are also VR missions that can be unlocked and trophies that can be earned. The game is radically different than others in the franchise but still feels connected and is a great action title.
