Boeing: Dreamliner 787 battery problem is solved

After Boeing's fleet of Dreamliner 787's was grounded for more than eight weeks, its makers believe it should be back to carrying passengers within weeks. The aviation company is confident it has found a set of solutions to improve the battery system: setting the battery in a stainless steel case, giving extra insulation to the power pack, spacers and heat-resistent sleeving to prevent overheating. But this may not be enough to convince countries around the world that the planes are safe; Japan's civil aviation bureau has already said it cannot estimate when it will allow commercial flights for the 787 to resume.
