Bethesda announces The Evil Within, Beyond: Two Soul’s development house reveals PlayStation 4 involvement, and PlayStation Vita obtains collection from one of PlayStation’s most beloved franchises, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil franchise, has officially uncovered Project Zwei teased by Bethesda last year. Titled, The Evil Within, details are currently limited outside of the fact that the game will remain as a survival horror game said to bring the perfect blend of horror and action. Bethesda did release a live action teaser trailer uncovering the twisted form of horror being created for The Evil Within along with revealing its release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and next-generation consoles during 2014, but an early demo look along with a behind-the scenes look has been confirmed to surface Monday, April 22nd.

Speaking on next-generation releases, Quantic Dream, developer behind the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls, has confirmed that not only have they were one of the first studios to receive a PlayStation 4 development kit, but that they began development on their first PlayStation 4 release during the middle of last year. Promising to be a very ambitious project, development is said to be going well, but will not see store shelves for awhile with an attempt to reinvent Quantic Dream. With David Cage recently proclaiming his interest in exploring multiplayer, could this be the release to do so? Considering Quantic Dream has stated that they intend to reinvent the company with the release, I am pretty confident that this will be the case.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, despite Sony’s PlayStation Vita still struggling to gain traction despite being on the market for over a year, Sony refuses to give up on the handheld and has announced Naughty Dog’s Jak and Daxter Collection will be making its way to the Vita featuring touch-based applications for certain mini games within the collection as well as a trophy set different from that of the PlayStation 3. Releasing for just $29.99 this June, owners of the PlayStation Vita are sure in for a treat at such a competitive price.
