Metal Gear Solid delivers ultimate collection on PlayStation 3, Ratchet & Clank prepares its debut on the big screen, and Beyond: Two Souls’ upcoming appearance at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has obtained a healthy amount of publicity and hype over the past thirty days despite no expected release timeframe, but as gamers eagerly wait for the latest release in the series, Konami has announced Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection exclusively for the PlayStation 3 releasing during June of 2013. Including the original Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition (including the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition, the collection will also include two Ashley Wood digital novels combining into arguably the best videogame collection release of all time. Allowing Metal Gear Solid fans to experience the series from beginning to end all on one console with one purchase, Konami has produced an incredible package and while no price has been confirmed, any fans of the franchise should make this a definite pick-up.

Insomniac Games, developer of the upcoming FUSE, has announced that in collaboration with Rainmaker Entertainment and Blockade Entertainment, Ratchet & Clanks will be making its way to theaters in 2015 as a full theatrical film. With Insomniac Games having a hands-on role within the production, screenplay, character development, and animation consulting along with the Ratchet & Clank writer, T.J. Fixman writing the script for the film, Insomniac is promising originality often ignored in videogame to film releases. Teasing the involvement of celebrity talent, it will be exciting to see what the teams are able to pull off and hopefully they deliver a film that makes fans of the videogame franchise proud.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, David Cage alongside stars including Ellen Page will be hosting a Q&A session for attendees of the ongoing Tribeca Film Festival on April 27th along with an hour of gameplay of the upcoming release. Being live streamed via Ustream, those unable to attend will also be able to join in on the action and learn more about David Cage’s latest adventure with Beyond: Two Souls.
