Gran Turismo 6 redefines driving simulation on PS3, PlayStation 4 ‘s developer engagement out powering any previous PlayStation console, and Ubisoft teases two unannounced titles, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. As forecasted on Monday’s episode of Nick’s Gaming View, Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital, has officially announced Gran Turismo 6 for PlayStation 3 with a release of this holiday season. Featuring seven all-new locations including UK’s famous Silverstone Circuit bringing the total to 33, additions to the car lineup bringing the total to 1,200, and much deeper customization combined with an improved engine, Gran Turismo 6 is once again shaping up to outdo its predecessors dating back 15 years to date. Promising expanded connectivity with other devices and increased social and community functions, Gran Turismo 6 will undoubtedly be a top seller this holiday season, I’m just personally hoping to see better implementation of damage than what was seen in Gran Turismo 5.

With the PlayStation 4 also releasing this holiday season, PlayStation has a huge holiday season ahead of them. Commenting last week on an “amazing big title coming to Vita”, Shahid Ahmad, Senior Business Development Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, has made an exciting statement regarding PlayStation’s upcoming console, “We’ve got more developer engagement on PS4 than we’ve had for any previous console, so that’s a really healthy sign.” While the PlayStation 3 had a rough start with developers, such statement when comparing to the support of the PlayStation 2, is pretty valuable.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, Ubisoft has released its full year earning reports and while such reports are usually boring to those who do not possess stock in the company, Ubisoft has caught attention with the statement “revenue generated from games for core gamers is expected to rise strongly, with notably the launch of five major titles versus three last year. This line-up includes Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist, Watch Dogs, and two titles that have not yet been announced, including one new creation." With E3 right around the corner, I would expect to hear of both titles during the event, but until then, all I can say is Ubisoft is providing a plethora of high quality releases that are sure to provide Ubisoft with another incredible year.
