Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter released for many platforms in 2008. The game tells an intersecting story of three soldiers during World War II. The gameplay is similar across all platforms, but the Nintendo DS version is unique for its touch controls. Players move their character with the directional pad, but aiming is handled with the stylus. Similar to Metroid Prime Hunters, dragging the stylus on the touch screen moves your reticule on the top screen. It's a more fast and accurate way to play shooters, despite the tendency to cause hand cramps. Call of Duty: World at War has single and multiplayer play on the Nintendo DS, and despite the weaker hardware, the 3D environments look surprisingly good. This video review features video gameplay footage of Call of Duty: World at War for the Nintendo DS and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
