Umihara Kawase defines "cult classic:" A little-known, low-budget game, with plenty of quirks and eccentricities, which has become world-famous years after its own time and has folks clamoring for more. A girl with a fishing line traverses 49 fields of hallucinogenic platforming action (I don't know how else to describe the level design) while strange ambulatory fish tries to get in her way. Her task is to climb, swing, and grapple from any surface in getting to one of perhaps multiple exits in each stage, as well running from the occasional giant tadpole monster.
