Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Tetris Plus for PlayStation developed by Natsume and published by Jaleco.
Tetris Plus is a strange kind of Tetris game. The union of Natsume and Jaleco (and having nothing to do with either Harvest Moon or Bases Loaded), it breaks its own solidly codified conventions slightly in an odd speed-up system that ramps up much faster than other Tetris games you might be familiar with. On the flip side, there's a puzzle mode that introduces a pith-helmet-wearing professor and his eager assistant, trapped by various constructions of blocks, and fearing the ever-present crush of a spiked ceiling. Fortunately, you can make things disappear, because it's still Tetris at its core.
