Syrian opposition leader visits rebels in Idlib

The Western-backed leader of the Syrian opposition, Ahmad al-Jarba, is paying a visit to rebel fighters in the northern Idlib province.

It's his way of showing support for them.

In video obtained by Reuters, Jarba spends some time with the rebels before getting into the trenches himself.

Jarba was re-elected as the Syrian opposition's leader for a second six-month term in January.

He had previously participated in the UN-mediated Geneva peace talks that produced little progress.

Though it was agreed that the opposition and government would meet again at a later date.

The civil war in Syria is now weeks away from it's three-year anniversary.
