Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler’s Green review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler’s Green for the Xbox developed by Brainbox Games and published by Groove Games.

Had game consoles existed in 1968, you’d better believe Night of the Living Dead would’ve gotten a video game adaptation. Probably several. But fortunately, the sins of the past can be forgiven with Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler’s Green. Released to coincide with George Romero’s 2005 film Land of the Dead, Road to Fiddler’s Green is a first-person shooter loose based on the film. One day, a farmer notices a strange man standing motionless on his lawn. That man is a zombie—and you’re the farmer. It’s a battle for survival as you make your way from your farm, suddenly swarming with zombies, to the city, where a safe house is hopefully still safe. The gameplay mechanics are standard for FPS games. You have a variety of guns, and you can also pick up melee weapons along the way. Bashing zombies in the head with a shovel is a great way to conserve ammunition and exercise your biceps. Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler’s Green supports single-player and local multiplayer play, and it was originally released with online multiplayer, as well.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler’s Green for the Xbox and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
