Aaahh!!! Real Monsters review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Aaahh!!! Real Monsters for the SEGA Genesis developed by Realtime Associates and published by Viacom New Media.

Aaahh!!! Real Monsters was one of Nickelodeon’s earliest Nicktoons, a creator-driven show emblematic in style and tone of the 1990s animation renaissance. Which is to say it was gross and weird and surreal, but beautifully done. And when it came to the SEGA Genesis, the same things applied. Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is a pretty Genesis side-scroller that does a fine job capturing the look of the show. The gameplay, however, does leave something to be desired. Nonetheless, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is a platformer in which players throw garbage at their enemies and even “scare” them. You control all three of the show’s main characters, and each one has its own special attributes and moves. Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is a single-player platformer.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Aaahh!!! Real Monsters for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
