Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow video game review of Castlevania II: Simon's Quest for the NES, from Konami. One of the most notorious NES sequels in history, Simon's Quest went all non-linear "Metroidvania" on us, but this ambitious gameplay modification led to some mixed results. Cryptic clues, tedious money collecting, and fake floors are bound to make some gamers angry, but this is still considered an important part of Castlevania history. We probably wouldn't have Symphony of the Night if it wasn't for this frustrating game!
