Bethesda Details PS3 and PC's Delayed Dragonborn Release - Nick's Gaming View Episode #112

Bethesda details the delayed release of Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC on PlayStation 3 and PC, Bioshock 2 free for PlayStation Plus subscribers, and Telltale Games delays retail version of The Walking Dead, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!
Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. The much-anticipated Skyrim DLC pack titled ‘Dragonborn’ has finally released on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 making those who own the PS3 and PC version of the Skyrim weep impatiently. While PS3 and PC owners will not have the opportunity to experience ‘Dragonborn’ this year, Bethesda Softworks has stated they are investing a lot of time and attention into the platforms and will be sure the experience is equally enjoyable on all platforms. Also disappointing for those who do not own the 360 version of Skyrim, Bethesda has stated that the two previously released DLC packs; ‘Dawnguard’ and ‘Hearthfire’ are currently on hold due to their belief that ‘Dragonborn’ is their best DLC and not wanting to keep the audience waiting. It’s clear where Bethesda’s focus lies for Skyrim, it’s just a shame to not see them implement a way of transferring one’s progress from one platform to the other for those wishing to convert to the 360 version of the Skyrim experience.
In better news for PlayStation gamers, Bioshock 2, once a franchise exclusive to Microsoft’s Xbox 360, is now free for those subscribed to PlayStation Plus. With Bioshock Infinite’s release just around the corner, those who have yet to experience the incredible entertainment experience that Bioshock 2 provides should definitely hop on the offer while it lasts.
Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, the awaited retail release of Telltale’s The Walking Dead series has been pushed back a week in North America due to a last minute decision. While the reason is unclear, the fact that it should have released on store shelves today tells me something very minor occurred. Containing all five episodes for the price of $29.99, Telltale Games has produced an attractive package for those who have not experienced arguably the best video game offering of 2012.
