Microsoft Teases E3 2013 - Nick's Gaming View Episode #122

Microsoft begins teasing E3 2013, Fez confirmed to release on other platforms, and Ubisoft seeks production company for Ghost Recon film, THIS IS NICK’S GAMING VIEW!

Hello everyone and welcome to Nick’s Gaming View, you are here with your host, Nick McCandless. Despite CES being right around the corner, Microsoft has not forgotten about June when E3 2013 will take place here in Los Angeles. Unarguably the largest video game convention of the year for North America, Major Nelson has published a countdown clock with his only statement being “And it’s on…” With the Xbox 360 reaching the end of its life cycle, it’s no surprise to see Microsoft already building anticipation for what will likely be the announcement of the next Xbox, which is sure to spark months of discussion.

One of the most creative, unique titles to release during 2012, Fez, impressed a wide range of gamers but also sparked disappointment in the fact that it released exclusively on Xbox Live Arcade, but thankfully the team at Polytron has made the decision to change this. Confirming Fez will “finally be ported to other platforms”, curiosity in regards to what platforms Fez will appear on has developed, but to think they would ignore the PlayStation Network is asinine.

Wrapping up Nick’s Gaming View, despite claims of Splinter Cell and Assassin’s Creed being in the hands of Hollywood production companies, the Chief Executive of Ubisoft’s Motion Pictures has put together a pitch for its Ghost Recon franchise hoping to lock down a production company that could bring the vision to life. Considering the franchise is based off of Tom Clancy’s renowned novel series, its not hard to picture the idea actually coming to life, but only time will tell.
