CGR Undertow - FIGHTING FORCE review for PlayStation

Fighting Force review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Fighting Force for Playstation 1 developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive. It took some time for developers to figure out how to do 3D beat 'em ups. The genre that was one of the best on the 2D consoles, really struggled in the early days of 3D gaming. Fighting Force is an example of developers working out the issues, with it still having the 2D appeal, but in a 3D world. Originally intended to be the continuation of the Streets of Rage series, the game lost the name and became its own series. There are four different characters to choose from, each feeling very unique. You can use punches, kicks, and even weapons to clear out the streets. It may have some issues, but of the early 3D beat 'em ups, this is one of the more playable. This video review features video gameplay footage of Fighting Force for Playstation 1 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Ryan.
