NES Remix review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of NES Remix on the eShop for the Nintendo Wii U developed and published by Nintendo.
Revisit the games that defined a generation in this unique combination of 8-bit classics and WarioWare. NES Remix presents 16 of the most celebrated NES games in history, but deconstructed into strange, hyper-short microgames. Jump over three barrels in Donkey Kong, collect rupees in Zelda—many of the challenges are simply pulled from the classics. Where the game gets interesting is in the remixed challenges, which combine retro classics into surreal new mini-levels. Save Pauline from Donkey Kong, but…with Link? NES Remix features more than 200 challenges, each one more nostalgic than the last. Sampled games include Donkey Kong, Legend of Zelda, Ice Climber, Wrecking Crew, Excitebike and a few games starring plumbers. Weird, right? NES Remix is a single-player game only.
