Shining Tears is not Shining Force. It's another fantasy RPG that Sega's slotted into its "Shining" series, with the occasional thematic connection to the early Camelot-helmed games that made that word mean something. As with the later "Shining" titles, it's an action RPG that ditches tactical concerns in favor of real-time combat using an innovative two-fighter system, where you're controlling... one and a half of them.
