Mutant League Football review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Mutant League Football for the SEGA Genesis developed and published by Electronic Arts.

Let’s say you like football, but you’re bored by the Madden games. Well, Mutant League Football might be the game for you. Released in 1993, this game is a very simple idea—take the retro Madden engine and add mutants. Mutant League Football is nearly identical to the Madden games of its time, but rather than use NFL teams and players, it substitutes them with aliens and monsters and mutants. And teams like the Sixty Whiners and Slayers. And lots and lots of blood. See, this might be the game for you! The game also includes fun gimmicks to keep things over the top. There are environmental hazards to keep in mind, as well as play-calling that allows for explosive balls and super powers. Mutant League Football includes single-player and local multiplayer play.

This video review features video gameplay footage of Mutant League Football for the SEGA Genesis and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
