CGR Undertow - BUST A GROOVE review for PlayStation
  • 11 years ago
Bust A Groove review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Bust A Groove (developed by Metro and published by 989 Studios) for Sony PlayStation. This "dancing" thing baffles me. Button inputs as described by on-screen instructions and with a timing frame that coincides with a piece of music... that makes sense. But "dancing" just seems off. Could it be because this game has no means of lag correction, meaning to play it correctly (outside of an old system and an old TV) means being consistently off-beat, thus going against everything the genre holds dear? Get your eighths a'swingin', 'cuz you're gonna need 'em. This video review features video gameplay footage of Bust A Groove for PS1 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
