CGRundertow TETRIS for Game Boy Video Game Review
  • 12 years ago
Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Tetris from Nintendo for the Game Boy. Tetris is a falling-block puzzle game — the original falling-block puzzle game. Blocks fittingly dubbed "tetrominos" for their four-piece composition fall from the heavens. You rotate and move them horizontally while they drop in order to fit them perfectly into the stacks below, the objective being to complete solid lines to make them vanish. Tetris was the pack-in title that made the Game Boy a historical success, and to this day, this is the definitive version. It doesn't have the modes or features more contemporary versions have, but for single-player, reflex-testing, brow-moistening, old-school gaming perfection...it doesn't get much better than this. This video review features video gameplay footage of Tetris for the Game Boy and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
