Gex: Enter The Gecko review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Gex: Enter The Gecko from Crave Entertainment for the Game Boy Color. This platformer was released a year after the Nintendo 64 version. In 3D, Gex was about fulfilling various objectives and collecting random things scattered throughout the levels, and it's the same idea in 2D. Each level has multiple objectives and lots of random things, so in that respect, this game feels faithful to its 3D predecessors. Sadly, it's also faithful in terms of boring gameplay and bad controls.
