CGRundertow DIABLO for PlayStation Video Game Review
  • 11 years ago
Diablo review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of Diablo for Playstation developed by Climax and published by Electronic Arts. Diablo simultaneously spawned and perfected the fundamental formula to the isometric point-n-click action role-playing game in a single motion for the PC on Dec. 31, 1996. Well, roughly one year later the game replaced pointing and clicking with a controller when it was ported to the Playstation for console gamers to try their hand at ridding the realm of Sanctuary from the terrorizing hordes of Diablo. There were several aspects that made the Playstation version not quite as refined as the PC version, nonetheless it was still a fantastic action RPG that was nearly as addictive as it was dark and foreboding. Beyond that, Diablo was just as popular as it was influential to the gaming world, to both consumers and developers alike. This video review features video gameplay footage of Diablo for Playstation and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Steve.
