Advent Rising review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Advent Rising for the Xbox developed by GlyphX Games and published by Majesco. You play as Gideon Wyeth, one of the last humans who can fight back against an alien race planning our destruction. Advent Rising's story is standard science fiction fare, but it does an excellent job of telling it. The game is defined by its beautiful cut scenes and presentation, highlighted by an orchestral score from Tommy Tallarico and voice acting from Boy Meets World's Will Friedle. Technical issues hold back the gameplay, but this third-person adventure/shooter is still an interesting experience.
