Super Joe isn't one for compromise. Maybe that's why his controls seem a bit, well, uncomprising. A seminal release for its genre, Commando only allows face-to-face shooting. Its control scheme is unique, taking away the twin-stick mechanic of shooting and moving in different directions. This makes the game both distinct and challenging. Just don't tell Super Joe the Capcom Arcade Cabinet added an easier mode. He'd flip out.
