Vulgus review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Vulgus as included in the Capcom Arcade Cabinet for the PlayStation 3 developed and published by Capcom. Before Okami, before Resident Evil, before Mega Man, before Commando...there was Vulgus. It was Capcom's very first game, the debut of one of the biggest names in gaming. Like many games of its time, Vulgus is a vertical shoot 'em up in which players fly a spaceship and shoot things. In that respect, there's not much unique about it. But what it lacks in originality, Vulgus makes up for with strong gameplay and a unique hook that requires precise aiming. Occasionally, enemy squadrons will form a straight line. If you're good, a single well-placed missile can take out the entire line and earn you big points.
