City Connection isn't about connecting cities at all! It's about... well, driving around cities, and spilling paint everywhere. Depending on whether you're playing the US or Japanese version, there are different motiviations, but the goal remains the same: Paint the entirety of the strange, floating tracks that form a cylinder around a famous cityscape by driving over them in your little '81 Honda City, while jumping, turning, and firing oil canisters to avoid the other drivers on the road, mysterious bamboo shoots, and even-more-mysterious cats. (Fun fact: The piece of music that plays after hitting a cat, commonly known as the "Flea Waltz" or "Der Flohwalzer," is known in Japan as "I Stepped on the Cat." Fitting.) This video review features video gameplay footage of City Connection for NES and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's TJ.
